Age of Empires III

Ok can someone tell me the logic behind making AofEIII so that it can only run on XP & needs the type of graphic card that you are just not going to find in a Laptop! How can I play this on the train now !!!???

Obviously someone's been taking lessons in sale minamisation techniques

Your asking that question made me think about something else. I bought the game several weeks ago and played it a few times. (One thing I like about it is that you can play "short" games that may take only about an hour or so - most of the time I only want to plat a game for a few hours at most.).

Anyway, I'd also like to know why there are 3 discs in the game package, but the installation only requires 1 disc. I've never even looked at the other discs in explorer to see what's on them (I'll do that this evening, if I can remember), but the game plays fine and if something's missing, I haven't a clue what it would be.

Did you do default installation or custom? I chose custom & it did ask for all three. I suspect it may be that the campain videos are stored on the other two

Since I don't remember, I obviously must have done the standard installation. Now that I've built a new computer, I'll reinstall it and try the custom installation and see what happens.
